Rosie the Maple Moth Cross Stitch
Unbelievably the Rosie Maple Moth is a real moth that is one of nature’s true wonders. This Unmistakable small woolly bright pink and yellow moth is part of the great silk moth’s family and is native to North America, Latin name Dryocampa Rubicunda. As the name implies these moths love maple trees and they lay their eggs under the leaves.
In this cross-stitch design, Rosie is at the centre surrounded by a fantasy cacophony of folksy star-like flowers. The bright colours are set against a navy-blue background which allows them to pop! Rosie is finished with a flourish of a large cerise pink bow which really gives her a luxurious feel.
