We are a London based craft brand for modern makers. Contemporary design and quality materials are the cornerstone of our brand and why in a short space of three years we have grown to develop a dedicated happy online community of over 80k crafters. We are sold by retailers such as Liberty, John Lewis and are the only craft brand to be approved and stocked by the Royal Palaces. 

Founded by husband and wife team Hannah and Brendan. The couple decided to join forces and start a business together after the devastating loss of their baby Bertie Bee, founding the business in his name. During this time, Hannah found moments of peace through crafting and creating, realising that there was so much mindfulness to be gained from the process of making. Thus, MakeBox & Co was born - A company designed to give everyone access to high quality, well designed and modern craft kits. 

Hannah Read-Baldrey is the Creative Director and brain behind the beautifully curated crafts. We also work with best in class artists and designers on special edition boxes. Each MakeBox contains everything you need to learn new creative skills and is designed to be suitable for anyone new to craft. beginners which makes for some creative “me time”.

MakeBox & Co’s primary aim is to encourage people to fall in love with a new hobby, connect with their creative spirit and invest in some much needed Me-Time. We feel strongly that there are links between creativity and well being and are constantly reminded by our customers that taking time out to make really is fuel for the soul.
