This pair of delicately embroidered king and queen swans were inspired by the song the 12 days of Christmas. The designs can be mounted into 4-inch hoops, the perfect size for embroidered decorations to go onto a Christmas tree or within a wall display. Each bird has beautiful folksy flowers embroidered onto its wing as well as addition of golden bugle beads featuring little crowns to add that extra touch of Christmas sparkle.
Perfect for a beginner up, this project uses a few different embroidery techniques including chain stitch, the French knot and satin stitch.
