This remembrance day, please feel free to use this poppy pattern to make and sell, raising much needed money for our forces. You can find out more about the Royal British Legions Poppy Appeal here. I would love it if you do use this pattern that you donate £1 to the appeal here.

Both of my grandfathers fought and served in the airforce for our country in the second world war. They both had important jobs and told me stories about some of their time spent during the war when I was a child. Showing me their medals and black and white photos of the aeroplanes one flew and one fixed. Those stories felt like make believe, a world that seemed a million miles away. As an adult I realise now those days are never a million miles away.

The Royal British Legion is the largest armed forces charity, supporting those who have served for their entire lifetime. From expert advice and guidance, to recovery and rehabilitation.

Please do use the video if you are a beginner, which explains each round in stages. There is also the written pattern below for those more experienced at crochet. Happy making!

Add some glue to the flat section of the brooch back and attach horizontally to the back of the flower.
